University of Utah, Park Building
The renovation of the historic University of Utah Park building included various services. A-Core drilled over 200 holes around the top perimeter of the building and dome for the seismic stabilization of the historic stone. Since anchors were prohibited, our innovative team had to use specially made brackets that clamped onto the sides to enable us to mount our drills. In order to install a special bar and plate to help hold the ancient stone together, we were contracted to drill approximately 3 – 5’ deep all around the roof of the building. Our demolition division also commissioned a complete demo package for Big D on this project.
We at CSW are very pleased with your early performance on the B Joint project. Your success is obviously due to your extensive preparation, attention to detail and commitment. It is not going unnoticed. Keep up the great work. Be safe! Thank you.
I just took the best phone call I’ve EVER taken at CPC. The guy said, “My name is Tim and I just got back from Afghanistan . I just passed one of your jobs here on I84, and one of your pieces of equipment had an American Flag on it and I just wanted to say, Thank you”. I told Tim, Thank you for what he has done for our country. I’ve taken many interesting phone calls over the years, but none have made me feel better than that one. So, thanks for taking the time and effort to display the American flag [on your equipment]. That was awesome!
I would like to just take a minute to say what an awesome job your Yuma crew performed. All work was performed in a professional manor and the job was completed faster and better than I could of imagined. Looking forward to working A-Core on the next phase and future projects.
We recognize the effort A-Core crews put forth to finish the I-15 joint saw and reseal project ahead of schedule. We are grateful for the extra effort put forth and commend A-Core on the high quality crews and supervisors they employ. We are overall very pleased with the work performed on this project and with the good working relationship established with A-Core. We look forward to working with them on future projects.
A-Core deserves a great deal of praise for your technical knowledge and positive attitude in performing this work on the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Just wanted you to know what a great job Billy and Rex did. They are highly professional and very hard working. Their ability to work with everyone and their attitude when dealing with the owner and Lydig was awesome. I would and will highly recommend them and A-Core to everyone. I hope the rest of my subs are as good as you guys.
I am Nathan Jones, Plant Engineer with Avista at Noxon Rapids Dam. Over the past weeks, Billy and his crew worked for Lydig on our transformer deck sump project. I was impressed with A-Core and Billy's work, and would like to pass on my compliments to him and his crew. The cutting project was not easy. As an active and operating hydro dam, our drains go directly to the river. Extreme care had to be taken during all stages of work to eliminate any waste or drain flow. While cutting the sumps in directly over and around the drains, Billy and his crew had zero spill incidents due to exercising the required care and controls necessary to maintain this requirement. This required continuous cleanup and housekeeping, and was performed to meet all our requirements. In addition, Billy and his crew maintained an aggressive pace to keep up with Lydigs' requirements and our schedule.
We appreciate the exceptional amount of thought and intelligence put into our job at Los Alamos National Laboratories. The job was next to impossible, and without dedicated employees such as yourselves the job could not have been done. Your advice and help was very much appreciated. The next to impossible job has been completed thanks to A-Core's A-team.
